Shaneann joined the Strand Lab in 2025 as a graduate student in the Cancer Biology Ph.D. Programme at UT Southwestern. She earned her M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame in 2022, where she studied immune cell changes within the gut in response to systemic factors. Shaneann completed her B.A. in Molecular Biology from William Jewell College in 2020, including a year studying abroad at Oxford’s St. Catherine’s College. Currently, Shaneann utilizes single cell sequencing approaches to investigate human bladder cancer.
